The Government Of Sarawak Five Dollars Notes 1938

The Government Of Sarawak Five Dollars Notes was print on 1 st January,1938 and being used during the reign of the Second English Rajah named Sir Charles Brooke who governed Sarawak after he replaced the First English Rajah named Sir James Brooke. On The front side of the note was a small picture of cats which meant Kuching in the Malay language, and Kuching also the name of the capitol of Sarawak until now a days. There also the symbol of the colonial crest on the left handside below the cat picture. On the right hand side of the front note was the picture of the said rajah and his signature. On the top right hand corner was written in chinese stating the value of the note and also the same to the top left hand corner which was written in arabic with the same meaning.

On the back page of the note was a picture of the Dayaks Shield as the crown was placed on the centre top page and also its clearly written The Government Of Sarawak. So as the note was too old and I found it in and old wooden box at our longhouse when I played in the storeroom. I liked its design and I keep it as the world heritage to shared with everyone until today.
